GREAT PARK UPDATE - COMMUNITY MEETING MARCH 27
IRVINE, CA: A special Community Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 27 will provide a City of Irvine update on the nation's largest parkland project of 688 acres including the 194-acre Sports Park; details on the grand opening next year of the Great Park Ice and Sports Complex; and ask those who attend to provide input about still-to-be-built segments of the Orange County Great Park.

The meeting will be at Honda Center, home of the Anaheim Ducks. The team's affiliate is developing the Great Park Ice and Sports Complex. The 280,000-square-foot complex, with four sheets of ice, will be the largest in the state and one of the largest in the country. Attendees will get a special briefing on the project.

City staff presentation, special video, surveys for input, maps and ideas will affirm what is planned and imagine what is to come at the 1,300-acre Great Park

Free public event, no RSVP needed.

For more information, visit cityofirvine.org or call 949-724-6077.

ANAHEIM DUCKS LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAM
The Anaheim Ducks Learn to Play Program presented by Bauer is back, giving all first-time hockey players the chance to get on the rink (ice or inline) in full hockey equipment for FREE!  Participants receive instruction from The Rinks coaching staff on how to skate properly while implementing some of the basic skills in hockey such as passing, shooting, and stick handling.

The Learn to Play Program is a (4) four week session geared toward participants 10 years old and younger (due to equipment sizes). Each participant is provided with an equipment bag, helmet, shin guards, hockey pants, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, stick and a jersey, which they get to keep during the duration of the session, giving them the opportunity to practice what they have learned between each session. Skate rentals are provided for free at each rink as well. The use of full hockey equipment allows participants to get the feel of skating in full hockey gear, allowing them to experience the sport as a whole without taking on the financial commitment of purchasing all the equipment.

Participants who complete the Learn to Play program and continue on to a paid program within The Rinks will receive a FREE, complete set of Mission/Bauer equipment to keep courtesy of Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.
